Apple Pie Pinwheels

Updated: Jan 10

All the flavor of apple pie, wrapped up in the easiest little swirl.

These pinwheels are one of those recipes that feel impressive but come together fast — flaky, jammy, lightly sweet, and perfect for sharing. They’re a go-to for weekend baking with kids, last-minute gatherings, or when you want something warm and nostalgic without committing to a full pie.

Bonus: the house smells incredible while they bake.-2 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls

Why you’ll love them
  • Minimal prep, maximum payoff

  • Kid-friendly + adult-approved

  • Perfect for brunch boards, dessert spreads, or after-school treats

  • No pie crust drama required

Ingredients

(Serves 8–10)

  • 2 tubes (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough

  • 3 cups finely chopped or thinly sliced peeled apples (tart varieties work best)

  • 1 (6 oz) jar Yummy Lotus Apple Pie Jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 13 x 9 baking dish.

  2. Thinly slice apples into small strips or finely chop. (Green or tart apples work beautifully, but use what you have.)

  3. Unroll each tube of crescent roll dough into a rectangle. Press seams together to seal perforations.

  4. Spread an even layer of Apple Pie Jam over the dough.

  5. Sprinkle sliced apples evenly on top.

  6. Starting from a long edge, roll the dough up tightly, jelly-roll style.

  7. Slice into 1-inch pinwheels and place cut-side up in the baking dish.

  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.

  9. Serve warm — straight from the dish or stacked on a serving board.

Make it your way
  • Extra indulgent: Drizzle with vanilla glaze or cream cheese icing.

  • Breakfast vibes: Serve with yogurt or a dollop of whipped cream.

  • Holiday-ready: Add a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar before baking.
